Women Peacemakers Program
Young women from civil society organisations are invited to participate in the Women Peacemakers Program (WPP) International Orientation. WPP's International Orientation is a 6 weeks annual orientation at the IFOR International Secretariat and its Women Peacemakers Program.

The deadline for application is 15 December 2008.

 

 

 

The International Orientation takes place during spring time (early 2009) in Alkmaar, the NetherlandsWPP's International Orientation is a 6 weeks annual orientation at the IFOR International Secretariat and its Women Peacemakers Program for two young women active in civil society organizations (CSOs). The orientation includes an introduction to international peace work and exposure visits to relevant organizations and practical office work.

 

The objectives of the International Orientation are: 

  • to facilitate skills sharing between peace activists from different regions, concentrating on youth women, by supporting international participation in trainings, and finding and supporting temporary placements in peace projects and offices for periods of up to six weeks.
  • to provide specific orientation to help program participants further their thinking and familiarity with critical international issues in conflict resolution, development, human rights and gender awareness

 

The deadline for application is 15 December 2008.
